What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When you leave comments on the Website we collect the data shown in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address, and the browser user agent string to help spam detection.
Also, an anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Mailing Lists
The Mailing List is a list of emails and their associated subscription settings. If you sign up and opt-in to the Website’s Mailing List your Email Address is stored on the Website. The Mailing List is not shared, and an Email Address can be removed from the Mailing List at anytime by unsubscribing.
Media
If you upload images to the Website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Other visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the Website.
Contact forms
When you use the contact form to send us a message an email is sent directly to our external email service. Your name, email address, and message are collected in this process to enable us to effectively do business and are not stored on the Website. Our email service retains any information you provide us indefinitely. All names, email addresses, messages, additional details, and subsequent communications are held in confidence with those who are granted access to our contact email account.
You can opt-in to have a copy of the email sent to the email address you supplied.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on the Website you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for the your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to the Website, a temporary cookie will be set to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on the Website may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to help us discover the browsing trends and interactions of the Websites visitors. The Google Analytics tracking code collects anonymous information about a visitor, including information from their web browser: the browser the visitor is using, the device the visitor is using the browser on, the language the browser is set to, and their traffic source / what led the visitor to the Website. This browser information is grouped with details on how the visitor interacts with web pages on the Website to create session data. Session data updates anytime a web page is loaded on the Website. A session is updated until the visitor leaves the website or their session times-out. Tyler Robots Design uses this session data to better inform changes and updates to the Website.
You can view Google Analytics policies at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
There are browser extensions and tools you can use to block analytic data collection.
Who we share your data with
The data we collect is not shared with other parties. Posts and comments the Website are publicly available for all to read.
We utilize Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google ReCAPTCHA to help in developing a better experience. These services anonymously process your data separately from the form data collected on the Website for business.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
If you join the mailing list, the email address provided and its metadata are retained indefinitely or until the provided email address is unsubscribed.
If you register on the Website, the personal information you provide in your User Profile is stored on the Website. You can see, edit, or delete the personal information in your User Profile at any time (except you cannot change your username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Additional information
How we protect your data
We use the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) security protocol to establish encrypted links between the web server and your browser. The usage of SSL technology ensures that all data transmitted between the web server and your browser remains encrypted.
What data breach procedures we have in place
Unless the breach is considered harmless and poses no risk to individual data, data breaches will be reported to the relevant authorities within 72 hours. If the breach is high-risk, then we will also inform individuals who were impacted right away.
What third parties we receive data from
We do utilize a few third party services that collect visitor data to help us develop more efficiently.
We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to help us discover the browsing trends and interactions of the Websites visitors to help us make informed business decisions in development. They collect anonymous visitor data and interactions. We then use the Google Analytics service to process the collected data for analysis.
We also use Google reCAPTCHA to prevent automated abusive activity. The system and service is provided by Google. It can be noticed by the presence of the “I’m not a robot” checks at the end of most input forms on the Website. More information about the reCAPTCHA service can be found at https://www.google.com/recaptcha.
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
reCAPTCHA is the only automated profiling we use. It is used to prevent automated processes on the internet from spamming the forms on the Website.
