The concept for CENTER’s web site was to have high visual impact while being easy to understand; mirroring some of the groups ideas and goals as an artist platform.
The original concept for the design was presented to us by Rudy. We settled on a design solution that drew inspiration from a day calendar that closely related to the original concept and would become the jumping off point for the visual hierarchy, and, at the same time, highly relevant to the information CENTER wanted to present to their audience. We stuck with a basic roll call, naming event and artists. This helped maintain simplicity while contributing to the visual impact of the website with specific details listed on the web pages nested within the events.
We worked closely with Rudy and CENTER toward a deeper understanding of their needs, we were able implement social buttons, maps, and other interactions that would make it easier for their audience to interact and keep in touch with the platform.
CENTER’s website made event details available online and provided a focal point for their social media presence.
